Welcome to CROSSTOWN JOURNAL

Hello and Welcome! This serves as a personal blog, for sharing thoughts, observations, musings, and reflections on select topics and issues, including life in New York City, from the perspective of a longtime resident. The title was originally inspired by the passenger buses that ply the crosstown routes (east-to-west and vice-versa) on New York's Manhattan Island. As a means of public transportation, they are popular with both natives and tourists, alike. 

I would also refer to the blog title as representing a sort of metaphor, symbolic of the the individual route we travel on, in this journey that people call "life," taking also into consideration, the stops along the way. Not just in a physical sense, but one that could involve certain psychological and spiritual aspects. Please join me on this trip!
